How to Book a BUPA Appointment with Active Podiatry

Please take a few minutes to read the information below before booking your appointment. This will help ensure your treatment runs smoothly and avoids any unexpected charges.

Booking Your Appointment

  • Please contact Active Podiatry directly on 01580 211133 to book your appointment.
  • Carefully read the email you have received from BUPA following your initial assessment.
  • If BUPA advises additional procedure codes, please request these before attending your appointment.

What You Need to Know

  • Before your appointment, you must contact BUPA to obtain pre-authorisation for all procedure codes required for your visit (see the list below).
Unfortunately, Active Podiatry is unable to speak to BUPA on your behalf.
  • If you attend without the correct pre-authorisation in place, you may be responsible for the cost of your appointment at Active Podiatry’s self-pay rates.
  • Please ensure that the podiatrist you are booked with is recognised by BUPA and named on your policy.
If you attend an appointment with a podiatrist who is not recognised on your policy, you may need to pay for the appointment yourself and claim the cost back from BUPA.
  • If BUPA does not cover your consultation, Active Podiatry will send you an invoice by email. Payment is required within 14 days.
  • By booking an appointment with Active Podiatry, you agree to the practice’s terms and conditions.
  • If your policy includes an excess, BUPA will contact you to let you know when this is due.
Any excess payment must be paid directly to Active Podiatry. Please wait for an invoice from us, as BUPA notifies us after advising you.
  • If you are unsure about what your policy covers, we strongly recommend contacting BUPA before attending your appointment.
  • Please keep your patient portal up to date with any changes to your policy details or authorisation codes.
Alternatively, you can email updates to info@activepodiatry.co.uk.

  • Shockwave therapy provided by a podiatrist.
  • Routine foot care and conservative management of foot conditions.

These services are available at Active Podiatry on a self-pay basis and can be discussed during your appointment if appropriate.
